The “Punta del Callao

At the end of this famous district there is a real heaven of tranquility. The “Punta del Callao” is a small district that takes its shape of old colonial edifices with bright colors, restaurants which specialty is seafood, (surprisingly), a small and pretty square and an old church, standing in the middle. When you walk along the large avenue bordering the beach, you can notice El Frontón,an island which was still a jail a little time ago. Moreover, at the beginning of this privileged area, it stands the Real Felipe Fortress; originally intended for the town protection, yet it is now the Museum of the Maritime and Armed Forces.
